MakerMatch is a managed marketplace connecting customers with designers and makers for custom fabrication services including 3D printing, laser engraving/cutting, CNC routing, and 3D scanning. MakerMatch acts as an intermediary and does not directly manufacture any products.
Users may register as Customers, Designers, Makers, or Dual-Role (Designer + Maker). All users must provide accurate information. Accounts may be suspended or terminated for violation of these terms.
All design files created through MakerMatch are owned by the platform. Customers receive a standard license to reorder the design. Designers retain credit for their work but transfer production rights to the platform. Premium Buyout options are available for full source file access.
All communication must occur within the MakerMatch platform. Sharing personal contact information, social media handles, payment app details, or external URLs is prohibited and may result in account suspension.
Pricing is determined through a hybrid quoting system. Platform fees are applied to each transaction. Payouts are distributed based on trust tier levels: New (70%), Established (90%), Top (100%).
Customers may dispute orders that do not meet specifications. MakerMatch will mediate disputes and may issue refunds at its discretion.
MakerMatch is not responsible for the quality of fabricated products. We facilitate connections between parties and provide platform tools but do not guarantee outcomes.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
